Welcome to the Marco Marchi & the mojo workers official website
Marco Marchi & The Mojo Workers is an acoustic blues band formed by musicians with decades of experience in vast musical genres (blues, jazz, folk, traditional, pop). They have been able to carve out a niche in the European blues scene, performing a repertoire of blues from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. From ragtime to piedmont style, from Delta blues to country blues and the early hours of the Chicago blues.
Marco Marchi & The Mojo Worker’s sound is designed with a completely personal style. Their songs are interpreted by assimilating the original energy and playing with passion and authenticity. The result: an absorbing blend of sounds filled with pathos of the past.
“At a time when the contemporary Blues music is becoming increasingly cumbersome and loud, Marco Marchi & The Mojo Workers takes the path of class, elegance and introspection. They do it with respect and humility of those that play while listening. A fundamental merit that hides in the folds of their interpretations and blends the classic and original resulting in a high quality product. "Ernesto de Pascale, journalist and president of the Italian association "Il Popolo del Blues".
William Bearden, IBC-Jury member, KBA-winner and known film producer from Rolling Fork MS said about us after seeing us at the Inernational Blues Challenge in Memphis:
"Marco Marchi and The Mojo Workers are a breath of fresh air in the Blues world. Their take on the Blues is innovative, exciting and unique. They blew into Memphis, and blew our minds with great songs, great musicianship and great personalities."
